Harry R Connor Teach the Children Fund

Harry Rhyne Connor, the father of Angie Connor Hicks, turned 90 this year. Harry’s family and friends came and honored him for his lifelong commitment to the quality education of children and adults in both church and secular settings. He developed and implemented innovative national programs to incorporate better ways to help children to learn and teachers to teach in the public school system.

While earning his PhD he taught graduate classes in teaching methodology and application of curriculum. When pressured to abandon his godly principles concerning certain teaching methods, he stood firm even at the expense of career advancement.

Harry taught Sunday School in the United Methodist Church for many years and led many people to Christ. Because of his love of history and geography, the Holy Spirit gave him an international ministry of intercession. He would open a new world atlas book and run his hands over the rivers of Africa, South America, Eurasia, and the Middle East, praying and often weeping for people along those rivers to know Jesus. In May of 2019 he was inducted as a Fellow in the international Institute of Theologians.

“Every time you give to the poor you make a loan to the Lord.  Don’t worry – you’ll be repaid in full for all the good you’ve done.” Prov 19:17 TPT

Mr. Connor is in a wheelchair now and is still praying for others and singing and sharing the message of Christ. In this life he may never meet the people he has prayed for all these years, but with your help we can honor him and perpetuate this passion and legacy by giving to the Harry R Connor Teach the Children Fund. Our donations will provide schooling and lunch for a child. For those who can, we are asking a minimum donation of $20. KNOW that every dollar helps, whether $20, or $200, or $2000. Freely you have received, freely give… and may blessings flow to the receiver and the giver.

YOU WILL LEND TO MANY NATIONS
AND NOT BORROW.”
  Deut. 28:12 CJB

In July of 2019, I will be traveling to Zimbabwe, Africa where I will be visiting schools, meeting the precious children and dedicated teachers there, and will be able to personally present your financial gifts to the leaders of the schools. I will be meeting with them to learn more about what they need and how we can continue to help. So don’t wait – give today! A million thanks!
